We will never abstain from warning people against a very important issue; namely, the necessity to differentiate between searching for Allah [to know Him] and questioning His Divine Self. Mixing the two matters led many thinkers to go astray. When any mature person wants to know Allah, he will find that Allah has facilitated for him all the means to enable him to realize the existence of His Creator and Originator.

However, it is the human curiosity that leads man to delve into the results he reached through his journey to know Allah despite it lies beyond his mental abilities.

When any of those thinkers manage to realize the existence of Allah through his mind, he may allow himself to define and question His Divine Self, Names and Attributes. They may be engaged in comparing Allah's Devine Self to their finite mental abilities without realizing that their intellect falls short to encompass the issue they handle.

Based on this, we see that it is a must to differentiate between searching for Allah and questioning His Divine Self. A person must know that his mental abilities will not enable him/her to do so, in which case one is not to delve into matters which lie beyond his perception.
