Name of Allah At-Tayyib -The Good, The Pure
Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and companions.
Allah's Messenger (Peace Be upon Him) said
“Allah, the Exalted, is Tayyib (Good and Pure) and He only accepts that which is Tayyib

Meanings and Denotations of Allah's Name At-Tayyib:
1- He is the utterly Good, none of His creation is utterly good.
2- No creation can be described by an attribute unconditionally or utterly because the creation is nothing like The Creator.
3- He is The Good, The Kind and The Pure (At-Tayyib) in His Essence, Names, Attributes, Actions and Words.
4- He does not accept any deed or saying except that which is good.
Almighty Allah says
Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.
Fattir: 10
5- He makes what He wills good and pure to accept it.
6- Allah destined good people to good deeds, He guides them to everything good in life because of their goodness.
Almighty Allah says
"Evil words are for evil men, and evil men are [subjected] to evil words. And good words are for good men, and good men are [an object] of good words. Those [good people] are declared innocent of what the slanderers say. For them is forgiveness and noble provision
An-Nur: 26
7- He chooses the best of His creation for Himself such as His Messengers and the righteous.
8- Almighty Allah blesses His obedient servants with good provision, just as He did for His Messengers, peace be upon them.
"…and has provided for you from the good things."
An-Nahl: 72
9- Almighty Allah made the good things lawful for us, and prohibited the bad whether in food, drinks, deeds, manners and beliefs.
Almighty Allah says
"Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful
Al-Ma'idah: 3
10- Almighty Allah tests His servants to differentiate the good from the bad.
He says in the Quran
Allah would not leave the believers in that [state] you are in [presently] until He separates the evil from the good. Nor would Allah reveal to you the unseen. But [instead], Allah chooses of His messengers whom He wills, so believe in Allah and His messengers. And if you believe and fear Him, then for you is a great reward
Al-Imran: 179
Worshipping Allah by His Name At-Tayyib:
1- The Muslim's heart has to be good and pure, void of any bad desires or doubts.
2- The Muslim's body has to be good and pure, void of any unlawful earnings or food.
3- The good lawful food is a condition for answering supplication.
The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be upon Him) said, "Allah the Almighty is Good and accepts only that which is good. And verily Allah has commanded the believers to do that which He has commanded the Messengers.
So the Almighty has said
: “O (you) Messengers! Eat of the tayyibat [all kinds of halal (legal) foods], and perform righteous deeds.”
23:5
and the Almighty has said
: “O you who believe! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you.” []
2:172
Then he (PBUH) mentioned [the case] of a man who, having journeyed far, is disheveled and dusty, and who spreads out his hands to the sky saying
O Lord! O Lord!,” while his food is haram (unlawful), his drink is haram, his clothing is haram, and he has been nourished with haram, so how can [his supplication] be answered?
Sahih Muslim
4- The Muslim has to adopt the attributes which agrees with some of the Divine attributes, i.e. the Muslim has to be good and pure in his manners and character, he should distance himself from the filth of sins, and harming people, he should race to good deeds, for himself and for the people. He should be good in his relationship with the Lord, worship him sincerely and good in treating people.
5- The Muslim should not praise himself and describe himself as good, or praise others, the worst kinds of praising is to describe yourself with a quality that is not in you, or another person with a quality that is not in him.
Do not Praise Yourselves
Almighty Allah says
Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed
An-Nisa': 49
(1) Muhammad b. 'Amr b. 'Ata' reported: I had given the name Barra (Pious) to my daughter. Zainab, daughter of Abu Salama, told me that Allah's' Messenger (Peace Be upon Him) had forbidden me to give this name. (She said): I was also called Barra, but Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said: Don't hold yourself to be pious. It is God alone who knows the people of piety among you. They (the Companions) said: Then, what name should we give to her? He said: Name her as Zainab.

Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated
: "A person praised another person in the presence of Allah's Messenger (Peace Be upon Him), whereupon he said: 'Woe be to you. You have cut the neck of your friend'. He said it several times. If one of you has to praise his friend at all, he should say: I think (him to be) so and Allah is sufficient for him, and I cannot testify his purity against Allah but (he appears) to be so and so.)

(3) Abu Ma'mar reported that a person lauded a ruler amongst the rulers and Miqdad began to throw dust upon him and he said: Allah's Messenger (Peace Be upon Him) commanded us that we should throw dust upon the faces of those who shower too much praise
